Capacity Building Supports

Are you a Self-Managed NDIS participant, a family member wanting to find high-quality social work support for a loved one, or a support coordinator or NDIS planner? 


SOCIAL WORK SERVICES CAN BE FUNDED BY THE NDIS. 


Social Workers are trained and qualified allied health professionals who study university degrees to become social workers. We are trained to work with people of all abilities, including those with complex needs. 


Our Social Work Services include:

Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Assessments

  • Conducting holistic assessments to understand individual needs and strengths.

Capacity Building Supports 

  • Building participants’ capacity to navigate NDIS, Centrelink, and My Aged Care systems.
  • Supporting participants in understanding and effectively using their NDIS plans.
  • Guiding participants through NDIS reviews and appeals to advocate for their rights.
  • Strengthening skills for managing application processes and accessing legal or administrative systems.
  • Facilitating connections with NDIS and mainstream services, including housing, education, healthcare, and community programs.

Practical Assistance

  • Supporting individuals to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to complete necessary forms and paperwork.

Advocacy Support

  • Providing professional support letters to advocate for necessary services and support.
  • Participating in case conferences case reviews to help support and advocate for your rights

Functional Capacity Assessments

  • Conducting detailed assessments to evaluate how mental health or psychosocial disabilities impact daily life.

Building Skills for Everyday Life

  • Supporting participants in creating structure and developing sustainable daily routines.
  • Strengthening relationship skills to maintain connections with family, friends, and the community.

Crisis Management

  • Developing strategies to respond to urgent changes in health or wellbeing and connecting participants to crisis services.

Strategies for Wellbeing

  • Providing disability-related therapy to help participants process their diagnosis and adjust to living with a disability.
  • Strategies to navigate life transitions include starting school, university, or new employment.




NDIS Code of Conduct

Wellbeing Support Space adheres to the NDIS Code of Conduct, ensuring that all services are delivered with respect, integrity, and professionalism. In alignment with this commitment, all staff members complete the Worker Orientation Modules, which provide essential training on the NDIS practice standards, safeguarding participants, and promoting ethical conduct in all aspects of their work.
