Hi, I’m Cate, an accredited Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers. I have a Bachelor of Human Services, Master in Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management.
I’m passionate about helping people achieve their mental health and well-being goals in ways that are meaningful and practical for them.
I’ve trained in a range of focused psychological strategies, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Intervention, and Single-Session Family Consultation. These approaches allow me to tailor support to each person’s unique needs and circumstances because I believe there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to well-being.
Outside of my work, I’m a mum to two wonderful children and have been in a long-term relationship with my partner. Life can be busy, but I always make time for the things that bring me joy—traveling, spending time at the beach, and staying active with exercise. I know firsthand how important it is to prioritise self-care and balance, and I bring this understanding into my practice.
I’m also committed to ongoing professional development and receive monthly supervision to reflect on my work and continue improving my practice. This ensures I’m offering the best possible outcomes for those I support. Helping others navigate life’s challenges and build a fulfilling, meaningful life is something I feel incredibly privileged to do.
